Overview
Doublage is an ongoing series of AR artworks by Mona Young-eun Kim exploring how familiar signs, symbols and public spaces can be reinterpreted. Across five iterations, the mobile applications introduced virtual sculptures and digital interventions into distinct urban, gallery and heritage settings.
Challenge
Every venue involved different scales, lighting, tracking conditions and visitor expectations. The technical challenge was preserving the artistic premise while adapting the underlying AR systems to new spaces, devices and modes of interaction.
Development
AzurParang developed and extended Unity AR applications using image recognition, location-aware interaction and interactive 3D content. Iterations added or refined maps, object placement, tracking reliability, visual interventions and visitor-facing controls, as appropriate to each exhibition.
Outcome
The collaboration has supported installations at Galerie AL/MA, La Nuit Verte, Pont du Gard, Ghostly Distilled Matters and Le Cube Garges. It demonstrates sustained technical collaboration and a reusable AR development approach responsive to evolving artistic ideas.
